This was agreed upon by members of ITPEC (IT Professionals Examination Council) composed of Japan, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam on December 1, 2006

It was agreed that exams will be given on the same date for all member countries
All who pass the regular philnits (Jitse) exam will be given a certificate valid for processing of 1 to 3 year working VISA to Japan in the field of Information Technology.

Philnits (Jitse) FE Exam and SW Exam Requirements
- NO age limit , NO degree or diploma required, undergraduates welcome!
- NO work experience necessary
- Knowledge of computer fundamentals and at least one Computer language either C or Java
- Any nationality accepted
- 3 pictures (2x2) or passport size
- Examination fee is Php1,800.
- Removal Exam fee for those who failed either AM or PM only Php 1,000.
Philnits SW Exam Requirements
Same as FE except for PM programming, knowledge of SQL programming required
Exam Fee PHP 3,000.00

PhilNITS In Brief
The Philippine National IT Standards Foundation was formerly known as the JITSE Phil Foundation Inc. It is a non-stock, non-profit, non-government organization that is implementing a Certification Program from the Japan Information Technology Engineers Examination Center (JITEC) of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) of Japan.
The Japanese government, in coordination with the Philippines Department of Trade and Industry
has proposed the implementation of the JITSE examination, a viable and
credible measure of IT skills.The JITSE Examination, a certification
program for IT practitioners that will give Filipinoes an advantage
when seeking work both here and abroad.
The DTI
in cooperation with PHILNITS Philippine National IT Foundation Inc, is implementing
the PHILNITS examinations with the assistance of the private sector
represented by the Information Technology Foundation of the Philippines
(ITFP) the Philippine Computer Society (PCS), Philippine Society of Information Technology Educators (PSITE) and various agencies of the Government such as the National Computer Center (NCC), Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Technology Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Philippine State Universities and Colleges in Computer Education Society (PSUCCESS) More........
