About Philnits exam

Level 1: Information Technology Passport (IP) Certification Exam – is for  assessing the capability of people in their knowledge of Information Technology and

how IT can be used in carrying out their tasks in the workplace. Defined as human resources with minimum knowledge and skills required for people involved in information technology who are able to perform tasks under guidance  (Follow)

Half-day Exam, To cover Technology, Strategy & Management. ( Multiple Choice)

 

Cost of Exam: P900.00


Level 2: Fundamental Information Technology Engineers (FE) Certification Exams-  Is for Individuals who have basic fundamental knowledge and skills required to be an advanced IT human resource, and who possess practical utilization abilities Defined as human resources with basic knowledge and skills who are able to perform tasks with a certain degree of difficulty or part of the required tasks on their own (Assist)

Whole day Exam with Lunch Break: 2.5 hours in the AM and 2.5 hours in the PM. (Multiple Choice) To cover Technology, Strategy and Management.

 

Cost of Exam: P1,800.00


Level 3: Applied Information

Technology Engineers Certification (AP) Exam: Is for Individuals who have applied knowledge and skills required to be an advanced IT human resource, and who have established their own direction as an advanced IT human resource.

Defined as human resources with practical knowledge and skills who are able to perform all required tasks on their own ( By Oneself)

 

AP Exam is held once a year :

Philnits Exam Requirements

  • NO age limit , NO degree or diploma required, undergraduates welcome!
  • NO work experience necessary
  • Knowledge of computer fundamentals and at least one Computer language either C or Java
  • Any nationality accepted
  • 3 pictures (2x2) or passport size

PhilNITS In Brief

The Philippine National IT Standards Foundation was formerly known as the JITSE Phil Foundation Inc. It is a non-stock, non-profit, non-government organization that is implementing a Certification Program from the Japan Information Technology Engineers Examination Center (JITEC) of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) of Japan.


The Japanese government, in coordination with the Philippines Department of Trade and Industry has proposed the implementation of the JITSE examination, a viable and credible measure of IT skills.The JITSE Examination, a certification program for IT practitioners that will give Filipinoes an advantage when seeking work both here and abroad.


The DTI in cooperation with PHILNITS Philippine National IT Foundation Inc, is implementing the PHILNITS examinations with the assistance of the private sector represented by the Information Technology Foundation of the Philippines (ITFP) the Philippine Computer Society (PCS), Philippine Society of Information Technology Educators (PSITE) and various agencies of the Government such as the National Computer Center (NCC), Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Technology Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Philippine State Universities and Colleges in Computer Education Society (PSUCCESS)                                  More........
